FM4 S6E2CC Linux Software

Hi.

I am a studying electrical engineering and have a nice Pioneer Kit. My question is:

Is it possible to develop For the FM4 Board under Linux, and for example is it possible with eclipse? or would i have to use all your software under wine. (If this there the case i could just easily switch to windows, but still i am curious, if i could even work under windows with eclipse without your custom software)

Thanks

Example on using the EBI interface on FM4 MB9BF56xR

I am currently evaluating the FM4 MB9BF56xR on the FM4-U120-9B560 kit. I would like to use the External Bus Interface (EBI) to access an LCD with a SSD1963 controller. As a first step, I would like to go through an example on how to configure the EBI for SRAM/NOR flash access since the SSD1963 presents similar control signals.

Is there an example project on how to configure the EBI for SRAM/NOR flash access? The PDL library does not include any examples on using the EBI.

Thanks,

Obi

hi all...

this is my first post, hope is in convenient place.

as in the title, i plan to make an arduino-like board based on M4 Cypress devices...

i have some experience in AVRs, and a suffisant level programming in c/c++;

but i have no idea about Cypress MCUs  other than that they are Microcontrollers!!!

so, any 'volunteer' can answer my begginer question: is the idea of making an arduino-like board doable?

FM4 S6E2C2 2048k FLASH + 40k ?

Hello,

On our S6E2C2, there is 2048k main flash. We can write/erase to that sectors (0x000000 - 0x200000) without a problem. However in the datasheet from Spansion, there is still 40k of flash memory @0x406000 - 0x410000. We can write only to the first sector of 8k. But we can't erase it anymore. Is there a problem with these sectors? Any kind of declaration would be appreciated.

Hello,

I am developing a device using s6e2cc core and USB1 device feature. My device will replace an older one, that has USB connection with PC using HID class and a custom dirver. The custom driver uses 4 endpoints. CTRL R/W endpoints (that I was able to let them works, even not perfectly) and BULK R/W endpoints. I am not able to see any interrupt when HOST try a BULK transfer. Can anyone help me on how to configure a Bulk endpoint? I use USB Wizard software to build a basic HidCom device.

Thank you

Ivan

FM4-176L-S6E2CC Pioneer Kit Documentation Error

This is my first post to the forums.

I think I have found an error in the FM4-176L-S6E2CC Pioneer Kit Documentation. I am not sure if I am reading this correctly or not.

Here is where I got the documentation for my board since I have the FM4-176L-S6E2CC-ETH Pioneer Kit:

http://www.cypress.com/documentation/development-kitsboards/fm4-176l-s6e...

If you look at the starter kit document: FM4_AN709-00010 Revision 1.1 it says that the Arduino interface has CN9-Pin 1 and CN9-Pin 2 attached to pin numbers 107 and 106 respectively. However, if you look at the schematic diagram (sheet 6) on the same web page, it shows the CN9-Pin 1 and CN9-Pin 2 attached to pin numbers 109 and 110 respectively.

I have set up the UART12 TX for SOT12_0 and have verified that it works using those pins. Am I correct that the Pioneer Kit document has an error or am I missing something?

Hello,

I have an Evaluation board type SK-FM4-176L-S6E2CC-VOI, and I have the following issues:

1- I am using KEIL uVision 5.23 to programming into the S6E2CC, but  I can not find a  project file to use as a template/project files for software development using KEIL.

2- I tried to test the board by following the steps explained in 'SK-FM4-176L-S6E2CC Quick Start Guide' but I got a wrong output as shown in the attached screenshot.

I have the following softwares installed

  • KEIL uVision 5.23
  • Peripheral Driver Library (PDL) and the examples I found in this suite are for other boards
  • CMSIS-DAP ver.14
  • SerialPortViewer ver.5.8.3

Thanks

Hello Professionals,

I am trying to make BLDC control using sensorless for my own motor. I used an example to modify according to my motor parameters, and I entered my motor parameters in the program. But the motor rotates only at a certain speed like with a very low rpm(approx.1000rpm). What to do to get the more Rpm? my motor rated speed is 16000 rpm. Can anyone please tell me the solution?

Thanks in advance

Hello everyone,

I have a FM4-176L-S6E2CC-ETH - ARM® Cortex®-M4 MCU Starter Kit and I really need to acquire the audio signal using the line-in jack, which is featured on the Starter Kit. However, the source code for that function is not provided in the Peripheral Driver Library. Please share the source code if you happen to have it. Your help is greatly appreciated!

I bought a FM4 S6E2C-Series Pioneer Kit.  I installed the Serial Port Viewer Software and the CMSIS-DAP firmware package.  When I launch the Serial Port Viewer, a little window pops up and then in a few seconds disappears.  I running Windows 10.  Anybody have any suggestions?

S6E2CCAJOA GPIO Config Question

In 《FM4_S6E2CC_Lab1_Blinking.pdf》, there is a gpio config :

bFM4_GPIO_ADE_AN08 = 0; // AN08 to GPIO (bit 08 set to zero)

Then, I find the Macro in PDL s6e2cc.h:

#define bFM4_GPIO_ADE_AN08                        *((volatile uint32_t*)(0x42DEA020UL))

I am trying to know the meaning of the code(bFM4_GPIO_ADE_AN08 = 0;)。

But,I can't find the corresponding register or any explanation about the address 0x42DEA020UL。

Could you tell me where to find it?

Thank you!

I ordered and received an Cypress FM4-176L-S6E2CC-ETH FM4 S6E2CC Pioneer Kit.  The SK-FM4-176-S6E2CC-ETH Quick Start Guide on the Cypress site references The SK-FM4-176L-S6E2CCA_CDvnndownload folder.  Where is that folder?  The documentation on this product is very lacking in quantity and quality.

spansion MB9xfxxx MCU is used.

The document says that the module can be woken up from this mode using an RTC interupt or an wake up interupt.

The module is getting reset without using any interupt source.

Can anyone please explain or provide an example project for deepstandRTC

Development Environment Setup - DAP Device Not found

Hello!

I am trying to set up Keil uVision to start developing on my kit. However whenever I try to download to board, or start a debug session I get a pop up saying that "No Debug Unit Device Found".

I'm using Windows 10 in VMware Fusion

I have installed all the drivers listed here:

http://www.cypress.com/documentation/development-kitsboards/fm4-176l-s6e2cc-eth-arm-cortex-m4-mcu-starter-kit-ethernet-and

I can successfully run the test code which was pre-loaded on the board and know that my device is plugged in and recognized by windows as it shows up as COM4.

I have also made sure that the DAP firmware is updated (v2.5) and in Keil I have set the Debugger and Utilities up as CMSIS-DAP.

I have attempted to load my program using the output .hex file and the Direct USB method however it keeps Timing Out - with J2 shorted as per the instructions in the quick start guide.

I'm pretty sure I have just done something basic wrong - any pointers would be helpful.

Thanks very much.
